Nu Serif is a font family that brings Apple Computer's "Espy Serif" bitmap font to the printed page.

About the Nu Serif font family

Nu Sans is based on Apple Computer's "Espy Serif" bitmap font. Espy Sans is a font designed by Apple's Human Interface people for easy readability on computer screens. This bitmap font is used in the Apple Guide screens. It is a serif companion for Espy Sans.

Now you can use Espy Serif on your printer as well. I have offered a TrueType and PostScript version of Espy Sans for several years now. Every once in a while I'd get an e-mail asking if I planned to do a font based on Espy Serif. So I've been working on Nu Serif off and on for about a year. I've finally finished the regular and so I've decided to release this font so that people can start using it right away. I am currently working on a bold version as well as an italic and bold italic.

Demoware Notice:

Why pay? Well, aside for helping Marty Pfeiffer go to college, you will get an even greater benefit: the full version of the Nu Serif font (plus a bold, italic and bold italic when they are done). That means that you will get four fonts, each containing the whole character set (with upper and lowercase letters, accented characters, special characters and numbers). You will notice that Nu Serif Demo lacks a full character set and prints out numbers as though they were bitmaps. This is to remind you that you are using a demo version and to encourage you to register. It is my policy to provide free updates for all of my software.
